Simulation Specialist II
  • Job Summary
    • This position supports simulation technologies and methodologies for Cox College s Interprofessional Simulation and Education Center and reports to the Simulation Director. The Simulation Specialist serves as a resource in running low- high fidelity simulation activities through the use of task trainers, patient simulators, virtual reality and standardized patients. The Simulation Specialist supports student learning by answering questions, providing guidance and in some instances provide remediation, tutoring and assessment of skills within their scope of practice. This position has no responsibility for providing direct care to patients.
  • Job Requirements
    • Education :
      • Required: Associate s degree in a health/clinical field OR at least 3 years experience in healthcare or a related field
      • Preferred: Bachelor s Degree in a related field
    • Experience:
      • Experience with technology and simulation devices (e.g. Computers, mannequins, monitoring systems, Microsoft Office, Excel).
    • Skills:
      • Ability to quickly absorb technical details of new technologies.
      • Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and independently.
      • Ability to analyze, prioritize, and make decisions related to coordination of equipment, supplies, and general troubleshooting.
      • Strong organizational skills required for time management and to prioritize conflicting demands.
      • Student service-oriented with effective communication skills.
      • Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills.
      • Ability to occasionally lift and use heavy or specialized medical equipment.
      • Dependable and flexible
