Job Summary
- The Insurance Follow Up position is responsible for investigating unpaid physician claims. Contacts Insurance companies to follow up on unpaid claims. Work in collaboration with other departments and areas of PFS to resolve claim issues in a timely manner. Meet or exceed departmental goals such as cash collection, productivity and days in A/R.
Job Requirements
- Education
  - Required:High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience
  - Preferred: Experience in medical billing & claims processing knowledge; familiar with the insurance industry and collection process.
- Skills
  - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  - Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
  - Self starter.
  - Proficient in using computers and computer systems
  - Ability to multi-task and have attention to detail
