Job Summary

Coding Specialists develop close working relationships with coworkers within the Intake department and also with the Home Health teams. This position is ideal for a candidate who can work well independently while closely following established protocols.

The Coding Specialist enters the ICD-10 diagnosis codes and current medications into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for new patients prior to admission to service. Researches clinical history and obtains relevant documentation for the home care EMR.
