Description As a District Court Clerk, you will play a vital role in the efficient functioning of the judicial system by providing administrative support to judges, attorneys, and other court personnel. This role encompasses the meticulous creation and organization of written documentation detailing the proceedings and judgments of Clallam County District Court I. Responsibilities include managing calendars, conducting research on court files and records, processing legal documents and orders, generating meeting minutes, maintaining witness records, and utilizing various automated systems for audio, video, and other functions. Additionally, this position involves serving as a liaison between court jurisdictions, diverse departments, and public/private agencies. Education/Training High school diploma or general education degree (GED); to perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer knowledge and ability.
Experience - Court Clerk l Minimum of three years of secretarial or advanced clerical work experience preferred
Experience - Court Clerk ll Minimum of five years of secretarial or advanced clerical work experience preferred; Prior experience as Court Clerk I and/or Court training preferred; to perform this job successfully, an individual should have a great deal of computer knowledge and ability.
Court Clerk l Pay RangeThe compensation for this position ranges from $20.82 (Starting Wage) to $25.37 (Top Wage) per hour. This salary structure is based on the County's 9-step pay scale, with compensation starting at Step 1 demonstrating entry-level pay.

Sick Leave: - Full-time employees accrue sick leave at the rate of 8 hours per month. Eligibility for use of sick leave is established after one month of continuous employment.
