The Trial Court Applications Team at the Nevada Supreme Court is seeking a motivated and talented Court Business Systems Analyst to join our team in either Carson City or Las Vegas. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help implement new and enhance existing business systems that support the operations of Nevada's Trial Courts.

Responsibilities include conducting research, documenting requirements, validating solutions, and providing training on technology solutions utilized by the courts. This position offers an exciting opportunity to improve information systems, align IT services with court business objectives, and actively contribute to the advancement of the Nevada Trial Courts' technological capabilities.

As a Court Business Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in improving court technology, aligning IT services with judicial business objectives, and actively contributing to the modernization and efficiency of court operations.

After an initial training period, there may be an opportunity for a hybrid remote/in-office schedule.

Examples of Duties
    • Research, analyze, and document technology solutions used by the Nevada Courts.
    • Validate technology solutions to ensure they meet court business needs and align with established standards.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify system improvements and guide business process changes.
    • Participate in court process changes and provide expertise on technology-related implications.
    • Develop comprehensive test cases and conduct testing to ensure the successful implementation of systems and integrations.
    • Configure business systems to match court requirements and optimize system performance.
    • Deliver training sessions to court staff systems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve system-related issues and ensure smooth operations.
    • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to propose innovative solutions
    • Provide high-level service desk support for complex technical or business issues.
    • Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:
  • 2-5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, or a related field.
  • Experience gathering and analyzing business requirements.
  • Strong documentation and customer service skills.
  • Time management with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
  • Proficiency in SQL for data analysis and reporting.
  • Experience with SAP Crystal Reports or similar reporting tools.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of court business processes.
  • Experience in designing test cases based on business requirements and system functionality.
  • Understanding of database concepts and data modeling.
  • Relevant IT certifications or experience and/or training in information systems and/or business process analysis and planning.
  • Prior experience working with courts or in a legal technology environment.
Effectively works remotely and collaborates with employees from a remote location, as needed. Must have expertise in virtual meeting platforms, such as Teams. Must have the ability to work remotely via an internet network connection provided by the employee. This connection speed must be sufficient to perform all duties. A minimum of 50-100 mb download speeds are required. Higher connection speed may be required if sharing this connection with other members in an employee's household.

This position requires the ability to travel occasionally and may be required to work holidays, evenings, or weekends for critical projects or emergencies.
