POSITION SUMMARY The Course Contractor Representative (CCR) will act as the lead contractor for the SATCOM Fundamentals course. This position, along with our government counterpart, is responsible for the full execution and oversight of the SATCOM Fundamentals course under the Delta 8 Training Support Services contract located at Schriever Space Force Base (SSFB), Colorado. This position combines instructional leadership, curriculum development, training management, and simulator coordination. The CCR will assist in the delivery, management, and enhancement of 14 annual SATCOM Fundamentals courses in accordance with USSF standards and instructional systems development (ISD) methodology. Working closely with Space Delta 8's government counterparts, the CCR ensures high-quality instruction, instructor readiness, and continuous improvement of courseware across core SATCOM principles, including RF theory, modulation, SATCOM system design, and user allocation frameworks. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Serve as the primary contractor instructor and technical manager for SATCOM Fundamentals training, overseeing 14 sessions annually. Review, revise, and deliver ISD-based courseware, aligned with Mission Task Lists (MTLs) and Ready Space Crew Task Memorandums (RTMs), using the ADDIE model. Instruct on key SATCOM topics such as RF theory, modulation and coding, SATCOM architecture, wave propagation, and mission-specific application scenarios. Ensure instructor scheduling, classroom space deconfliction, and communication are coordinated via SharePoint and Teams platforms. Lead curriculum development efforts in accordance with DAFMAN 36-2675, with workload estimates of 15 hours of development per 1 hour of instruction. Collaborate with the COR and government staff to align instruction delivery with mission training timelines. Track instructor/student progress in PEX, generate and submit deliverables (e.g., feedback reports, after-action reports, qualification updates). Conduct instructor spot checks, monitor performance, and mentor instructional staff as needed. Provide monthly reports on student throughput, facility usage, and course effectiveness to inform decision-making. Support scheduling and delivery of Orbital Systems Knowledge (OSK) briefings and integration into broader training pipelines as required. EDUCATION/TRAINING Required: Associate's degree or equivalent military/ civilian training. Completion of a recognized military instructor course. Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Instructional Technology, Space Operations, or a related field. EXPERIENCE Required: 3+ years of ISD-based curriculum development experience in Space Operations. 2+ years of direct instructional or hands-on system training experience. Expert knowledge of SATCOM fundamentals and familiarity with USSF MILSATCOM architecture and command structure. Preferred: Experience managing or leading a military training program. Familiarity with Protected, Wideband, and Narrowband SATCOM systems. Experience in using and supporting simulation platforms (e.g., WTCS, SST, TTS). Experience maintaining curriculum standards for educational material depth and breadth. SKILLS/ABILITIES Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams) Demonstrated ability to facilitate, brief, and communicate complex concepts effectively. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proven ability to instruct personnel and determine appropriate instructional methods based on class size and subject matter. Capable of mentoring instructors and leading cross-functional instructional teams. Familiar with Patriot Excalibur (PEX) or equivalent training management tools. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods. Must be able to use a computer and related equipment for prolonged periods. WORK ENVIRONMENT This is an on-site position that requires work to be performed onsite at a government location. The working conditions for this position may include the following: Working indoors in an office environment. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to pass pre-employment background screening. Must possess and be able to maintain a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Must be able to be cleared for base or site access. Must be a US Citizen. Position may require up to 10% travel to CONUS government facilities for integration, testing, or collaboration. Salary Range- $98K-119K We are accepting ongoing applications for this position.
