Description:

The Counter Sales Representative is responsible for direct sales and customer service support to Automation-X's walk-in and call-in customers in the Odessa office/warehouse. This position is responsible for maintaining excellent customer experience via customer interaction through customer-facing office visits and/or call-in sales and working with warehouse staff to convert inventory to sales seamlessly. The Counter Sales Representative supports the Sales team to ensure Automation-X customers receive the products and solutions they need.


Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver and exceed sales targets.
  • Build Sales with existing customers.
  • Attract & maintain key customers.
  • Detailed knowledge of Automation-X's products and solutions.
  • External & Internal Customer correspondence.
  • External & Internal Customer relationship building.
  • Entry of Quotes and Sales Orders.
  • Timely follow-up on all outstanding quotes.
  • Development of new sales opportunities.
  • Customer retention.
  • Quote generation and enter customer interactions into CRM.
  • Collaboration with other sales and support teams.
  • Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction of Auto-X's products and solutions.

Compensation

This is a salaried position starting at $55,000 per year. This position is eligible for monthly commissions.

Education and Experience Requirements

Minimum of High School Diploma Required


Preferred Skills and Abilities

  • Takes pride in exceeding customer needs and Automation-X goals & KPI's.
  • Understands customer requirements, their budget, and how to close business deals.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure we are providing customers with the correct automation solutions.
  • Excellent customer relations skills to work proactively with our customers and other team members.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, outlook and ERP/CRM systems.
  • Ability to represent Automation-X with professionalism and build strong relationships.
  • Oil & Gas Automation experience preferred.
  • Good understanding of power, communication, measurement, control and electrical aspects of the oil and gas industry.
  • Work with internal departments to ensure customer engagement and customer satisfaction.

This job operates in a professional office environment.


Travel Required

Occasional travel may be required.
