Now Hiring: Counselor Supervisor - Lead, Inspire, and Make a Difference. Position Overview: The
Counselor Supervisor will supervise the Counselors and Counselor Interns who provide treatment and casework services to patients in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and with BayMark's policies and procedures. The clinical supervisor will ensure timely documentation of patient services based on plan of care. Must identify other physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs for assigned patients. Supervisor will also manage related expenditures in a fiscally responsible manner in accordance with the company's budget.
Responsibilities: - Individual will oversee Counselors once the census has grown.
- Individual will conduct individual counseling sessions.
- Coordinate care of assigned patients and present patient status and concerns with treatment team accordingly.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and the development and implementation of patient treatment plans according to State regulatory requirements.
- Provide clinical services and patient care and education and opiate addiction counseling services to patients receiving methadone maintenance and detoxification treatment.
Qualifications: - Education: A bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field is required.
- Certification: Current certification as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) is mandatory or the ability to quickly obtain CADC board supervisor certification.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in substance abuse counseling is preferred.
- Must demonstrate a positive, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
- Skilled in conducting assessments, utilization of ASI criteria for appropriate patient placement, treatment plan development and implementation, service coordination, and crisis intervention.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
