NEW increased starting wage Pay: $18.40 - $20.90 per hour for overnight shift. (depending on related experience) Sign-on Bonus for Eligible OMH Community Residence Positions Full time positions are now eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus, $500 every 3 months for one year. Part time positions are now eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus, $250 every 3 months for one year. New hires, rehires, and transfers are eligible for this sign-on bonus. Nature of Work: A Counselor is a compassionate and patient entry-level, direct-care, human services professional who has excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for providing instruction and support to children and youth diagnosed with serious emotional disturbance, using strengths-based and trauma-informed practices, with the goal of improving functioning and overall quality of life. As a Counselor you will be an integral member of the team, providing daily documentation and feedback regarding youth progress and needs. Learn more about Lake Breeze Community Residence Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in a human services related field is strongly preferred; a high school diploma with related experience may be considered. Requires a valid drivers' license that meets insurability guidelines to operate Agency-owned vehicles. Must meet the requirements of the School Age Care, Day Care, and/or Mental Health Regulations regarding a State Central Register Clearance regarding a history of abuse/maltreatment of children and Criminal History Review for criminal convictions.
