Job Overview
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Counselor to join their team in Richmond, Virginia. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of a patient's treatment, ensuring seamless coordination and continuity of care from admission to discharge. You will provide comprehensive psychological therapy and substance abuse counseling, including individual, group, and family sessions.
Responsibilities
- Conduct substance abuse assessments using DSM criteria and determine appropriate care levels based on ASAM guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized treatment plans based on patient progress.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care.
- Provide crisis intervention services using a team-based approach.
- Maintain accurate clinical records documenting assessments, treatment updates, and follow-ups.
- Assist patients and families in accessing external support services, including legal, educational, and employment assistance.
- Adhere to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 guidelines for confidentiality and compliance.
Schedule
- Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Saturday Rotation: A few Saturdays per month (flexible scheduling)
- Saturday shifts will decrease as more counselors join the team.
Requirements (Virginia-Specific)
Applicants must hold one of the following licenses:
- LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
- LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
- LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist)
