Cost-Benefit Research Analyst (Financial/Process Improvement)
Location: San Antonio, TX - 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Contract Type: Long-term W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $45/hour
Overview:
We're seeking a highly analytical and business-savvy Cost-Benefit Research Analyst to support our Fortune 500 financial services client in San Antonio. This long-term W2 contract role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of business strategy and data-driven decision making.
The ideal candidate will have a background in financial analysis or process improvement, with direct experience conducting cost-benefit analyses (CBAs) to inform business strategy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses (CBAs) across business units to evaluate current and future-state value streams.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and technology, to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency gains.
- Translate complex data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
- Research and quantify business impacts in both traditional and non-traditional ways.
- Serve as a proactive problem-solver, identifying gaps and proposing innovative solutions to drive measurable value.
Ideal Background:
We're primarily looking for candidates with one of the following profiles:
- Financial Analysts who regularly perform cost/benefit modeling and scenario forecasting.
- Process Improvement Analysts / Business Process Engineers with experience evaluating operational impact, waste reduction, and ROI of strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, process improvement, or operations strategy.
- Proven ability to perform and present cost-benefit analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (4 days onsite in San Antonio required).
- Previous experience in financial services or insurance preferred.
- Familiarity with USAA systems and processes is a plus.
