Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Analyst to support our finance and operations teams by analyzing and managing product and operational costs. This role will play a key part in tracking manufacturing costs, evaluating cost efficiencies, and providing data-driven insights to support pricing, budgeting, and profitability decisions.

Key Responsibilities: -
Analyze and report on product and manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead

Develop and maintain standard cost models and assist in cost rollups

Monitor cost variances and partner with operations to investigate and resolve discrepancies

Support the month-end close process with inventory valuation, cost of goods sold (COGS), and journal entries

Assist in preparing cost forecasts, budgets, and variance analyses

Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production efficiency, waste, and cost trends

Work cross-functionally with manufacturing, engineering, and procurement teams to optimize cost performance

Ensure accurate data in ERP systems related to bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and inventory

Assist with audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
Qualifications: -
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

2-4 years of experience in cost analysis, cost accounting, or financial analysis (manufacturing experience preferred)

Strong understanding of standard costing, BOMs, and variance analysis

Proficient in Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite)

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders

Knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles
