Job Description:
Job Summary:
- The Senior Cost Analysis Engineer will provide basic cost estimating and product cost management support to internal stakeholders including engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing operations.
- The ideal candidate will conduct cost analyses and help identify cost reduction opportunities throughout the entire product life cycle from concept through development, production, and field operations.
- This position supports the Future Vertical Lift team and is based at the Ft. Worth, TX headquarters facility.
Position Responsibilities:
- Performing varied simple to moderate analyses of aircraft systems including preparation of parametric, analogous, and detailed bottom-up cost estimates
- Supporting design trade studies and cost reduction initiatives throughout the product life cycle
- Supporting supplier engagements with "Should Cost" analysis of aircraft systems
- Evaluating part manufacturing processes for cost out opportunities
- Establishing cost targets and reporting cost performance metrics for integrated product teams
- Evaluating costs of equivalent supplier products for best value
- Preparing Independent Cost Estimates (ICE) for proposal evaluations
- Promoting standardization of cost engineering best practices across the programs
Position Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in a wide range of estimating activities is preferred but not required
- Prior experience working with the government customers is preferred
- Specific knowledge of one or more cost estimating software systems (TruePlanning, aPriori, SEER, etc.) is preferred
- Aerospace and Defense experience in new product development, production, and sustainment is preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) are required
- Strong writing and presentation skills required

- bachelor's degree in engineering, Accounting, Economics or Business
