The Cost Accountant's responsibilities include:
- maintain general ledger accounts relating to inventory and cost of sales.
- analyze work in progress inventory.
- ensure compliance with SOX and other control processes.
- analyze production cost variances.
- product costing and Bill of Materials analysis
- prepare internal reports.
Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree in accounting or finance
- 5+ years' cost accounting experience in a manufacturing setting
- knowledge of GAAP
