Key Responsibilities:

Cost Analysis & Tracking

  • Monitor and analyze production costs across materials, labor, and overhead

  • Maintain accurate cost accounting systems and perform regular variance analyses

  • Investigate discrepancies between standard and actual costs to support continuous improvement

Inventory Oversight

  • Manage accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods

  • Lead inventory counts, reconciliations, and reporting to ensure accurate valuation

  • Work with production teams to optimize inventory levels and reduce excess

Reporting & Financial Support

  • Prepare cost reports, COGS analysis, and profitability reviews

  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close related to manufacturing costs

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Contribute to budget development and forecasting related to production and materials

  • Monitor budget performance and identify opportunities for cost savings

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Identify areas to streamline accounting processes and implement best practices

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and support audit processes

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with operations, procurement, and production to understand cost drivers

  • Deliver clear financial insights to help improve efficiency and cost control

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

  • 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, ideally in a manufacturing setting

  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and variance analysis

  • Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Dynamics SL, Crystal Reports, Workfront) and MS Office

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication and organizational abilities
