What You'll Do
As a Cost Accountant, you'll take ownership of our standard cost accounting system and play a key role in driving data integrity, financial reporting, and manufacturing efficiency. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to support decision-making, lead cost initiatives, and help improve our financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate cost data across inventory, labor, and overhead in our ERP system

  • Post monthly journal entries and analyze variances in materials, labor, and overhead

  • Drive improvements in inventory accuracy, E&O processes, and cost reporting

  • Collaborate with operations to interpret manufacturing variance data and identify efficiency opportunities

  • Support and lead the annual cost roll-up and physical inventory processes

  • Reconcile inventory and capital accounts and resolve discrepancies

  • Maintain fixed asset records and monthly reconciliations

  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement efforts

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

  • 3+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems (Macola experience a plus)

  • Solid understanding of standard costing, inventory reconciliation, and financial controls

Work Environment
This role is based in a professional office within a manufacturing facility. You'll occasionally work on the production floor during audits or inventory reviews. Standard office equipment is used daily.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to sit or stand at a desk for long periods

  • Occasionally required to walk, bend, or lift items up to 25 lbs

  • Exposure to temperature changes, noise, or dust during plant visits
