Cost Accountant Location: Elkhart, Indiana
Salary: $75,000 - $90,000
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Accountant to join our team on-site in Elkhart, Indiana. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost data, including bill of materials (BOM), cost accounting, job costing, and materials costing. This role will also play a critical part in budgeting, forecasting, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities: -
Analyze and maintain accurate costing of materials, labor, and overhead.

Develop and manage bill of materials (BOM) to ensure accuracy and cost control.

Perform job costing analysis to support pricing and profitability assessments.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Review and analyze inventory valuation and cost variances.

Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance teams to streamline cost accounting processes.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

Prepare and present reports on cost performance, trends, and variances.
Qualifications: -
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost accounting in a manufacturing or similar environment.

Strong experience with bill of materials, job costing, and materials costing.

Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

Experience working with ERP systems and cost accounting software.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications: -
CPA, CMA, or other relevant certification is a plus.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
