ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Engage in regular system troubleshooting activities and resolve issues.
- Perform a wide range of administration duties including installations, debugging, maintenance, upgrades, and general support for various systems.
- Proactive monitoring of all servers and services using a combination of tools to ensure high availability.
- Provide 24 x 7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings.
- Work closely with team members to provide end-user support and issue resolution.
- Create and maintain system documentation for updates made to the infrastructure environment.
- Perform upgrades to operating systems and software packages (i.e., VDI components, Windows services, or other enterprise apps) as necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining the virtual infrastructure hardware, environment, and underlying OS.
- Management of Microsoft 365 Admin Center / Entra / and other included services.
- Provide supplemental support to Corporate Network Administrators.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE: Required
- Minimum five years of professional experience in systems administration or related field
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, or related field.
- Azure / Entra administration certification, or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience working with enterprise grade network hardware and configuration.
- Previous experience working with RHEL, or equivalent Linux based operating systems.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Required
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, in order to discuss/document technical information.
- Ability to execute assignments within established time frames, and quality standards, while responding to immediate needs.
- Organized and detail oriented with excellent time management skills.
- Ability to multitask with propensity to handle urgent interruptions with poise and professionalism.
- Provides personable, professional IT customer service to internal and external partners.
- Microsoft Windows Server experience (2012, 2016, 2019, 2022, 2025)
- System Security (including patching, OS hardening)
- Experience with implementing and modifying Windows GPO's
- Experience with Microsoft sites and services
- Experience supporting various hardware manufactures like HP, Dell and Cisco UCS
Preferred
- Experience implementing and administering Microsoft SCCM.
- Experience with Microsoft Share Point administration.
- Office 365 administration and troubleshooting.
- Experience implementing and the administration of Microsoft Intune.
- Experience with Enterprise tier networking appliances and equipment.
- Experience with Enterprise Linux environments
- Installation, configuring, updating and managing all aspects of the VMware vSphere environment.
- Experience with vSphere.
- Experience with data center power management.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:- Primarily indoor work in office environment requiring long periods of sitting.
- Frequent utilization of manual dexterity and visualizing of computer screen.
- Occasional bending, carrying, squatting, twisting and lifting up to 50 pounds independently.
- Provide 24 x 7 on-call support on a rotating basis.
- Some Travel required.
- Requires frequent evening or weekend work
