Job Description:
Develop and maintain product inspection standards for critical components and materials
Establish and implement methods to inspect, test, and evaluate inbound materials per defined inspection standards
Collaborate with corporate supply chain to establish supplier quality scorecards to improve awareness and on time deliveries
Develop and sustain a program that validates the quality of new suppliers prior to purchasing production-ready components, including first article inspection procedures and production part approval processes
Maintain a continuous improvement mentality with focus on Kaizen (small change for the better)
Assist to develop and implement quality assurance and quality control procedures for all facilities
Assist in developing and managing a training program for all plant new hires (operators and engineers) and retraining for all existing staff using LMS
Assist in managing an audit program across all plants by performing audits, delivering detailed reports with findings from company-wide audits, and validate follow-up actions for both.
Additional tasks on an as needed basis as defined by the director of quality
Report directly to the Director of Quality
Job Requirements:
0-10 yrs experience
4-year technical degree, in an electrical, electronics or mechanically oriented curriculum
Supplier quality experience needed with experience in purchasing,vendor and inventory
Internship/co-op experience is preferred
Electrical skills and experience needed
AutoCAD or similar software a must
Multi-tasking, problem solving and strong communication skills a must
Travel up to 25% to all facilities to validate procedures and implement projects as needed
Strong desire to please the customer with perfect product quality and to maintain a safe work environment
