Position Function: Responsible for proactively establishing, promoting, and maintaining bank's physical security, and property protection programs by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees.
In the absence of the Director of Corporate Security and/or the Business Continuity Manager, this position will be expected to support and carry out the responsibilities and duties of those roles.

Primary Accountabilities: - Proactively monitor and manage access control system, alarm system and CCTV systems to ensure proper continued function of programs and equipment to ensure uninterrupted coverage, proper operation and maintenance in compliance with Bank Protection Act and bank security program.
- Manage the identification card system and maintain records in conjunction with Human Resources and Properties to ensure proper employee access is issued, updated and terminated in a timely manner, so to ensure we are maintaining building security.
- Monitor and manage access control system to ensure authorized access levels are assigned, updated, maintained and terminated in conjunction with applicable job assignment.
- Provide training on bank policy and proper use of the alarm and video equipment to branch personnel.
- Conduct interviews and investigations of incidents of theft, larceny, embezzlement, fraud and other criminal acts committed against the bank and its employees as required. Process and produce accurate photo and video exhibits as requested to assist in internal investigations as well as when required as evidence for criminal prosecution.
- Maintain liaison with all law enforcement agencies and keep abreast of new and current developments as it may relate to banks in the security area.
- Maintain liaison and assist in managing contract security and security equipment vendors, technicians, etc. to ensure proper security guard coverage is maintained and equipment maintenance, service, and repairs are completed accurately and timely, with accountability for replaced parts.
- May be required to manage Security Guard personnel.
- Conduct branch inspections as required to ensure compliance with Bank Protection Act and bank security program, to ensure branches are in compliance with HIOSH safety standards and to identify security gaps.
- Assist the Director of Corporate Security to serve as the Business Continuity secondary responder for security related issues affecting bank security, this may include assuming the Business Continuity Manager responsibilities when the Business Continuity Manager is unavailable.
Minimum Qualifications: Education:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university with major in criminal justice or similar discipline required.
Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in Law enforcement, corporate security, security management, or other investigative experience required. (A bachelor's degree can substitute for 2 years of work experience.)
- 1+ years of leadership or supervisor responsibilities preferred.
- Previous experience with video surveillance systems, digital video and access control systems, including but not limited to knowledge of types of systems and their operations preferred.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions: - Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
- Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
- Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
- Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
- Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
