The IT Operations Lead is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of all corporate computer systems, servers, and technology infrastructure. In addition to the physical infrastructure, the IT Operations Lead configures and maintains all SAAS products and internally hosted services (i.e., Office 365, Jump Cloud, OpenProject). The IT Operations Lead installs hardware and software, participates in research and development to continuously improve, and addresses the IT business needs of the Company. The IT Operations Lead actively resolves problems and issues with computer and server systems to limit work disruptions within the company.
Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network, servers, and virtualization

• Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes

• Provides technical and strategic leadership for the deployment and use of Office 365 tools, which include Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Azure Active Directory, Advanced Threat Protection, and Intune

• Works collaboratively with other members of the IT and Front Office Team to ensure security standards and best practices are applied and maintained across all IT hardware and software

• Troubleshoots hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues

• Provides documentation and technical specifications to IT staff for planning and implementing new or upgrades of IT infrastructure

• Performs regular backup operations and implements appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures

• Leads desktop and helpdesk support efforts, making sure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions

• Maintains and manages system administrative tasks; such as, security permissions, account management, etc.

• Applies and monitors network infrastructure and software security

• Manages and configures physical security solutions

• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Experience managing Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Azure, Windows 10/11

• Network administration, and knowledge of IP based networks and telephony

• System administration in Windows, Linux, and MacOS

• Strong knowledge of systems and networking software, hardware, and protocols

• Experience with scripting and automation tools

• DevSecOps experience preferred

• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols
• Understands group dynamics; demonstrates self-awareness as well as empathy/sensitivity to the needs of all staff members and clients

• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

• Strong analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities

• Understand, process, and distill information technology topics, or other complex technical topics into plain language

• Significant experience effectively addressing multiple concurrent projects and activities, adapting to changing requirements and evolving needs

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact comfortably with employees at all levels
