Our client, a Fortune 500 heavy manufacturer is seeking an experienced remote Corporate Counsel specializing in Litigation and Employment Law to join their legal team. This role will primarily focus on managing litigation and providing expert advice on employment law matters. The ideal candidate will have 7-10+ years of experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of litigation, including strategy development, case management, and coordination with external counsel.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Conduct thorough investigations and prepare legal documents, pleadings, and briefs.
Employment Law:
- Support the HR department with company-wide employment law matters.
- Provide legal advice and support on a wide range of employment law issues, including employee relations, compliance, and policy development.
- Handle employment-related disputes, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims.
- Develop and implement training programs on employment law compliance and best practices.
Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate legal risks related to litigation and employment law.
- Advise on regulatory compliance and ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR and other departments to develop and enforce company policies and procedures.
Legal Support:
- Occasionally draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
- Provide legal guidance on business transactions and corporate governance matters.
- Stay current with legal developments and industry trends to ensure proactive legal support.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the U.S.
- 7-10+ years of experience in litigation and employment law, with a strong preference for experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of managing complex litigation and providing strategic legal advice.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with managing litigation in employment, commercial, or real estate.
- Familiarity with the heavy manufacturing industry.
Compensation:
- Flexible based on experience, ranging rougly between $150,000 - $200,000
