Our company is currently looking for a Corporate Controller to join our Executive Leadership team at Caster Properties. The Corporate Controller reports directly to the President and is responsible for the Accounting Department & IT Department and other duties as assigned by the President & CEO.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration.
- Real Estate background is highly preferred.
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience building and analyzing budget and financial documents.
- Ability to communicate accounting, budgetary and financial information in a clear, organized manner to individuals with or without accounting backgrounds.
- An understanding of Python and how to maintain the software is preferred.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Willingness to be hands-on in supporting the accounting team.
Below are the General Job Responsibilities of the Corporate Controller position:
- Prepare information and reports for executive officers, department heads and owners to assure efficient and smooth operation and to provide needed data.
- Acts as the liaison for accounting, tax, planning and compliance services provided by the CPA's.
- Plan and prepare or review financial management and special reporting, as requested by owners.
- Assist with corporate Strategic Planning, including finance-related aspects.
- Assist the organization in achieving its budget-setting and budget-attainment objectives.
- Participates in company's revenue management process.
- Monitors reporting requirements with banking and lending institutions.
- Manages Construction Loan Administration
- Monitors cash flow for investment purposes
- Monitors lender compliance requirements.
- Review and oversee the preparation and facilitation of all loan packages, both construction and permanent.
- Assist the Acquisitions Department as needed in all aspects of the acquisition of new properties, including review contracts, agreements, escrow statements and pro forma analyses.
- Works with CEO and legal counsel to negotiate and review contracts.
- Assist owners and trustees in financial and estate planning.
- Maintains the integrity and accuracy of the information recorded in the accounting system, including the cloud-based financial information repository (currently PBCS, xEngine and Python).
- Oversees the Accounting department.
- Oversees the Director of IT, who is responsible for all activities of the IT Department.
The range for this position is $200,000 to $275,000, this includes base compensation as well as a quarterly bonus program. When calculating offers, we make salary decisions based on market data and candidates' skills and experience.
