Corporate Controller
A dynamic and rapidly expanding $200M manufacturing company is seeking a Corporate Controller for a newly established role reporting directly to the CFO. As the company continues on a strong growth trajectory, this position offers significant potential for advancement in both responsibility and title. We are looking for a professional with 10-15 years of manufacturing finance experience within a private equity-backed organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct all accounting operations across multiple locations, including oversight of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger functions.
- Drive the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Contribute to the company's strategic planning by supporting forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
- Maintain and enhance internal control systems to protect corporate assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Partner with senior leadership to shape financial strategies that support operational goals and business performance.
- Identify and implement technology upgrades that optimize financial reporting, automation, and data accuracy.
- Serve as the organization's go-to resource for financial ERP system management and troubleshooting.
- Ensure full compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including all tax and reporting obligations.
- Manage the annual audit process, working closely with external auditors and preparing all relevant documentation.
- Uphold and enforce company-wide financial policies, ensuring consistent application across all departments.
- Build, lead, and develop a top-tier finance team through effective recruitment, coaching, and professional development.
- Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance within the finance organization.
- Lead efforts to identify financial risks and implement appropriate controls and mitigation strategies.
- Oversee the development of risk assessments and contingency plans to safeguard the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- 10-15 years of progressive accounting and financial leadership within manufacturing environments (ideally with $200M-$500M in revenue)
- Deep knowledge of GAAP is essential; international accounting experience is a plus
- Prior experience in a private equity-owned company is required
