Responsibilities of Corporate Controller:
- Implement and enhance accounting policies and financial procedures.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP.
- Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Partner with operations and supply chain teams to drive financial efficiency.
- Lead cost accounting processes to ensure precise product costing and margin analysis.
- Monitor inventory valuation and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels. Collaborate with plant managers to enhance cost efficiency and reduce waste.
- Simplify and standardize the Chart of Accounts to improve financial reporting.
- Identify and execute process improvements that enhance financial operations.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee external audits, working with partners to strengthen controls.
- Continuously assess and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Act as a hands-on leader, balancing strategy with execution.
Preferred Experience of Corporate Controller:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in leadership within manufacturing or retail.
- Deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and multi-site financial operations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
- Analytical thinker with a track record of data-driven decision-making.
