Responsibilities of Corporate Controller:

  • Implement and enhance accounting policies and financial procedures.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Partner with operations and supply chain teams to drive financial efficiency.
  • Lead cost accounting processes to ensure precise product costing and margin analysis.
  • Monitor inventory valuation and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels. Collaborate with plant managers to enhance cost efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Simplify and standardize the Chart of Accounts to improve financial reporting.
  • Identify and execute process improvements that enhance financial operations.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local tax laws and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee external audits, working with partners to strengthen controls.
  • Continuously assess and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with business goals.
  • Act as a hands-on leader, balancing strategy with execution.

Preferred Experience of Corporate Controller:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in leadership within manufacturing or retail.
  • Deep understanding of cost accounting, inventory management, and multi-site financial operations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong ability to lead teams and drive process improvements.
  • Analytical thinker with a track record of data-driven decision-making.
