Job DetailsJob Details:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our company's financial and accounting operations. This includes managing and improving our company's financial processes, overseeing and preparing budget reports, monitoring internal controls, and participating in forecasting activities.
The Corporate Controller will be instrumental in guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. They will also be responsible for managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of the finance and accounting departments, including systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP, and internal control requirements.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and records by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Participate in the budgeting and forecasting processes, including the preparation of detailed short and long-term financial forecasts.
- Oversee and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and manage the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors.
- Participate in corporate policy development as a member of the senior management team.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, including sales tax.
- Lead and participate in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) due diligence and financial analysis.
- Manage and oversee the use of NetSuite for financial operations and reporting.
- Review all month-end closing activities including general ledger accounts, balance sheet accounts, and overhead cost allocation.
- Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting role.
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
