About The Role:

As a CBRE Corporate Communications Manager, you will support CBRE's Advisory Services business by developing and executing effective strategies for internal communications, media outreach, and social media for several key markets, with a specific focus on internal communications in the Mid-Atlantic market.

The ideal candidate must be a strong writer and have a validated background in developing internal communications content to support leadership strategies. They must also have experience pitching newsworthy stories to the local media and amplifying content on social media.

Candidates should be full of ideas and energy-able to take a variety of information, data, and thought leadership content and build compelling storylines that will resonate with employees internally and with news media across verticals, including commercial real estate.

Candidates must be able to work seamlessly with a highly motivated group of professionals across the Corporate Communications team and CBRE matrix, and to build and execute on opportunities that position our organization and our professionals as experts and leaders with vision.

The position is based in the region and reports to the Director of Corporate Communications. Travel to key CBRE offices within the region may be vital a few times throughout the year.

What You'll Do:
  • Support the development and execution of a solid and measurable Corporate Communications internal communications strategy for the Mid-Atlantic market and other key markets that align with the business goals of the leadership team.
  • Develop and write internal communications content (i.e., newsletters, memos, employee events) and external communications (i.e., press releases, bylined articles, award submissions, social media content).
  • Position CBRE as a leader in key conversations in world-class local and trade publications and on LinkedIn.
  • Champion strong and lasting reporter relationships across relevant media targets and maintain ongoing dialogue that leads to opportunities for our organization and our professionals.
  • Draft and submit award submissions, working closely with local leadership to determine nominees for awards programs. These can be both internal CBRE awards, as well as external awards.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with at least 4 years of related experience.
  • Strong writing and communication skills. Able to facilitate relationships and communication with brokers, leadership, across departments, and with media.
  • Thinks strategically and is proactive with ideas/opportunities. Able to comprehend, analyze and interpret market information and situations to build actionable ideas that positively impact the organization and its professionals.
  • Solid organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills that engage people across staff and departments and allow projects to move forward based on priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong collaborative leadership skills, including ability to collaborate up, down and across the organization. Can be an influencer within team and across departments to build consensus and motivate others. "Gets things done" but can also contribute to building and communicating long-term vision.
  • Solid Social Media understanding. Share relevant content with social media team to help drive engagement with key audiences. Train sales professionals on best practices for LinkedIn.
  • Strong attention to detail, including strong proofreading capabilities and curiosity about achieving the highest quality deliverables and outcomes possible.
  • Service-oriented and adaptable. Works well under deadlines. Knows how to prioritize, keep projects running efficiently and manage the expectations of everyone involved.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate's education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Corporate Communications Manager position is $110,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Corporate Communications Manager position is $120,000 annually. The compensation offered to a successful candidate will depend on their skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
