A premier AmLaw 100 firm is seeking an experienced and business-minded Corporate Aviation Of Counsel Attorney to join its nationally recognized Aviation Practice Group(link removed) This opportunity is open to multiple offices and is ideal for a senior attorney seeking to lead high-value aircraft transactions across a global client base.

Candidate Profile:


  • JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record(link removed)>



  • Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction, in good standing.




  • 10+ years of substantive experience handling corporate aviation transactions(link removed)>



  • Transactional Depth: Demonstrated ability to independently advise clients on complex corporate aviation transactions involving aircraft acquisition, financing, leasing, tax structuring, FAA regulatory compliance, and operational considerations.




  • Highly proficient in managing sophisticated airline, business, or high-net-worth individual clients with precision and providing high-touch service.




  • Global Exposure: Familiarity with both domestic and cross-border aircraft deals, including transactions involving commercial airlines, leasing companies, banks, and manufacturing suppliers(link removed)>



  • A portable book of business or demonstrated ability to attract and maintain client relationships is highly valued.




  • Soft Skills: Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to work efficiently with cross-functional teams.





Key Responsibilities:


  • Serve as lead counsel on corporate aviation matters, including aircraft purchases, sales, leases, financings, and completions.




  • Advise clients on FAA compliance, tax implications, operational issues, and risk mitigation strategies related to aircraft ownership and use.




  • Counsel a diverse array of clients including U.S. and foreign commercial airlines, corporate owners, ultra-high-net-worth individuals, and banks.




  • Oversee the full lifecycle of aviation transactionsfrom deal structuring to closingand manage related negotiations with manufacturers, lessors, and lenders.




  • Support the continued growth of the aviation practice through thought leadership, client development, and mentoring junior attorneys.

  • Competitive Compensation: Includes an expected base salary of $300,000+, commensurate with experience and market conditions, with opportunities for additional bonus compensation based on performance and business generation.
