We are seeking an experienced Permanent Corporate Associate to join our dynamic and progressive law firm. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate law and will be responsible for handling a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt offerings, equity offerings, restructurings, and entity formation. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, excellent drafting and negotiation skills, and a proven track record of providing exceptional client service. The successful candidate will have the autonomy to lead teams and take on significant responsibility, while also receiving business development training in a collegial environment.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a diverse portfolio of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt offerings, equity offerings, restructurings, and entity formation.
2. Draft and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring legal compliance and mitigating potential legal risks.
3. Provide legal advice and assistance on a wide range of corporate and commercial issues.
4. Lead and manage teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
5. Interact with clients, providing exceptional client service and building strong client relationships.
6. Contribute to business development efforts, identifying new opportunities and potential clients.
7. Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate law, specifically in mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, debt offerings, equity offerings, restructurings, and entity formation.
2. Proven experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
3. Strong client interaction and service skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead teams and take on significant responsibility.
5. Excellent legal writing and research skills, with a strong attention to detail.
6. Strong work ethic and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
7. Experience in providing legal advice and assistance on a wide range of corporate and commercial issues.
8. Experience in a progressive law firm environment, with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
9. Business development training or experience would be an asset.
10. A commitment to legal compliance and a solid understanding of legal issues related to corporate law.
