Position Summary Rowan-Cabarrus is establishing a pool of qualified candidates to be considered to teach part-time hours in the Corporate and Continuing Education program. Areas may include but are not limited to the following categories: Notary Public Nurse Aide I Construction, Plumbing, and Electrical Trades OSHA Motorcycle Safety Enrichment Adjunct ESL Instructor Adjunct SOAR Program Instructor Adjunct ABE/GED Instructor Industrial Maintenance Technician Instructor Okuma Machine Tool Academy Electrical Instructor Customized Training Instructor Advanced Manufacturing Instructor Fire Services-Fire Instructor EMS-EMS Instructor BLET Instructor Law Enforcement Training InstructorNote: All of the teaching positions listed above are for part-time/temporary as-needed instructors.
Required Education/Experience Experience in the subject area
Preferred Education/Experience/Skills - Community College or four-year college/university teaching experience
- Online teaching experience
Department Con Ed - Adjunct Pool
Work Hours Varied depending on student needs (day, evening, and weekend class offerings)

Duty and Responsibility Teach adult and children's (summer only) classes to include personal interest and occupational extension programs of various subject matters.
Duty and Responsibility Teaches assigned courses to meet program needs including, but not limited to, day, evening, weekend, and online courses.
Duty and Responsibility Evaluates student progress and provides appropriate feedback.
Duty and Responsibility Develops course syllabi and provides appropriate written information to students concerning course evaluation and criteria.
Duty and Responsibility Maintain an understanding of changes in the subject area of assignment.
