Our Accounting Team is seeking a Corporate Accountant in our Omaha office who will be responsible for managing and coordinating activities and operations of accounts payable department and staff.

You'll be responsible for:

Perform monthly reconciliation of bank statements and assigned general ledger account reconciliation

Assist with fixed asset depreciation, financial reporting and ensure timely and accurate month-end close and reporting

Maintain entry of policy payments, commissions and client claim receipts for our agricultural insurance departments

Reviews, analyzes and implements process efficiencies and maintains standard operating procedures (SOP) in accordance with SOC1 compliance

Provide department support, back-up and leadership for basic accounting functions

Establish and cultivate a working relationship with internal staff and vendors through collaboration, communication and empathy

Keeps up to date on overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions

Performs additional duties as assigned and required by management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisor responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred; or combination of experience and education

o Associates Degree and 4 years work experience in lieu of Bachelors Degree

o High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificate of competency and 8 years work experience in lieu of Bachelors Degree

3+ years of experience in a corporate accounting setting

Proficient with Office 365 and Enterprise One accounting software package

Ability to work with all levels of management
