The Help Desk Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers who require assistance with copier repairs. You will utilize your expertise in copier technology to diagnose and resolve issues promptly, ensuring minimum downtime and maximizing customer satisfaction. This role will involve remote assistance as well as occasional on-site visits to address complex repair cases.
Responsibilities include:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and technical support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system.
- Remotely diagnose and troubleshoot copier-related issues, providing clear and concise instructions to customers. Address a variety of problems including connectivity, IT, network, scanning, printing solutions, and other IT-related issues.
- Install necessary software and drivers and train users on the appropriate print drivers and scanning protocols.
- Provide remote support for FM Audit meter capture software, assisting with maintaining a healthy reporting status of devices.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the appropriate support teams for further investigation and resolution.
- Coordinate and schedule on-site visits for copier repair and maintenance when necessary.
- Document all customer interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in the help desk ticketing system.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for clients throughout the repair process.
- Stay updated with the latest copier technologies, troubleshooting techniques, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, identify recurring issues, and contribute to overall customer satisfaction.
- Perform other job duties as assigned and complete projects by deadlines.
No supervisory responsibilities.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- An associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
