COORDINATOR/MARKETING & RESIDENCE HALL ASSIGNMENTS

Position Summary

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Housing Assignments, the Coordinator of Marketing and Residence Hall Assignments has primary responsibility for residence hall assignments for special populations, marketing events, social media, publications, and supervision of the daily operations of the central office.

Required Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience that equates to two years.
One year of experience in higher education.
Detail oriented.
Must possess excellent organizational skills.
History of providing outstanding customer service.
Must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to connect with students, parents, and campus partners.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree.
Experience with university housing.
Previous experience with StarRez software and SAP software.

Duties & Responsibilities

Supervises one secretary and 8 - 10 student staff for the central office.
Supervises immediate staff to include performance appraisal, time card approval, vacation/sick leave requests, staff meetings and ongoing one- on-one meetings with all direct reports.
Performs occupancy management: coordinates assignments for special populations including international students, athletes, summer residents, and early arrivals; supervises assigning students from the waitlist; prepares and analyzes occupancy reports.
Assists with departmental housing charges and meal plans, student account billing and appeal review for special circumstances through petitions and appeals.
Assumes responsibility for event planning to advance and promote the Office of Residence Life including Admissions events and Homecoming events.
Coordinates and supervises all publications for the Office of Residence Life including updating, revising, editing, printing. This includes responsibility for making independent decisions about branding and image.
Coordinates file maintenance of all documents relating to damage billing and disputes.
Manages the Office of Residence Life's social media accounts including Twitter, Facebook and Instagram with support from student interns.
Independently respond to social media traffic that impacts branding ad image.
Manages content for the Office of Residence Life website.
Creates a plan and implements a plan to create/enhance communication with the Office of Residence Life full time staff, student leader, and student staff alumni via social media, electronic newsletters, receptions at professional conferences, and campus events.
Coordinates file maintenance of all documents relating to the wait list
Performs other duties as assigned.
