COORDINATOR-MARKETING AND EVENTS

Provide administrative oversight for internal and external communications and publications; for marketing of programs and services including conducting market research and strategic planning; and for large scale event coordination and facilitation.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in business, Communications, Marketing, or related field or 10 years of marketing and event planning experience

Experience

  1. Experience with social media outlets and management tools for mass marketing and advertising purposes
  2. Experience in the management of multiple, simultaneous projects and staff in a fast-paced environment
  3. Previous experience in ESC, public school, university, non-profit, or other appropriate experience (preferred)
Experience working collaboratively with corporations, public and private foundations, and other public/private entities (preferred)

Special Knowledge and Skills
  1. Experience with large-scale event planning for public, private, or government entities
  2. Knowledge of and experience with contract negotiation and execution
  3. Basic graphic design, desktop publishing, and web management skills

This is a part-time hourly position- maximum of 10 hours/week

Additional Job Information
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assume responsibility for organizing and coordinating events, including conferences, symposiums, trainings, and other special events.
2. Independently coordinate marketing and ESC2 events, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors and sponsors, creating itineraries, and ordering marketing materials.
3. Monitors budgets by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
4. Support the use and development of internal tools, tracking capability, use of marketing material database, and websites.
5. Continually seek new sources of prospective sponsorships for ESC2 events and make recommendations to the Executive Director
6. Monitor and analyze marketing campaign performance and generate reports on key metrics.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure marketing efforts align with ESC2 goals.
8. Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities.
9. Assist in the development and maintenance of marketing strategies.
10. Ensure that marketing materials are consistent with ESC2 guidelines and messaging.
11. Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels (social media, email, website, print, etc.).
