Position Summary:

The HR & Operations Coordinator will play a significant role in supporting and strengthening B Green's employee health and well-being programs through customer service, special projects, and ongoing administrative tasks. This role will provide the incumbent with a diverse and dynamic environment offering the opportunity to work directly with executives and develop expertise across multiple areas of the business. Promotes and maintains B. Green's mission, values, and culture. Provides exceptional communication and service to employees. Is directly responsible for day-to-day administration and coordination of the human resources function within the designated processes and serves as a Business Partner for the store level leadership team while balancing employee advocacy.

Essential Duties:
  • Serves as a business partner with local leadership teams to create a culture of customer service, quality, integrity, and accountability wherein employees are highly engaged and empowered to successfully perform their duties and grow within the organization.
  • Provide support to the HR Manager approximately 60%, Director of Asset Protection approximately 20%, and the Vice President of Operations approximately 20%.
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting metrics in support of HR, Asset Protection, and Operations.
  • Complete all assigned reporting requirements in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Processes employee Time & Attendance data to payroll and reconcile variances. Responsible for timely, accurately, and compliantly processing weekly payroll and payroll exceptions for all sites. Audit and process payroll documents.
  • Create and/or maintain Standard Operating Procedure documentation as needed for HR, Asset Protection, and/or Operations.
  • Process employee data for new hires, changes, additional earnings, etc.
  • Maintains vacation and sick leave records. Supports with FMLA and ADA leave tracking and administration.
  • Develops in depth understanding of payroll software and HRIS. Create reports on demand.
  • Assists employees in registering for or resetting access to ADP WFN online portal.
  • Responsible for maintaining records and electronic personnel files in compliance with all regulatory and licensing bodies. Responsible for the integrity of the employee data.
  • Assists with general benefits billing and reconciliation.
  • Provides detailed and accurate submission and follow-up on all unemployment claims.
  • Partners with Learning and Development designee as it relates to employee development processes.
  • Partners in auditing employee files to ensure all documentation is in line with all federal laws and regulations.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience with a focus on data analysis.
  • Must be proficient to advanced in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).
  • Experience in retail or grocery store field preferred, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state specific employment and wage and hour law.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now preferred, but not required.

The incumbent will be required to occasionally travel to other facilities, by automobile therefore a current, valid driver's license is required. The role will rely heavily upon the incumbents' ability to communicate clearly and as such, the ability to speak, listen and comprehend information is critical. There will be long, extensive periods of sitting while working on computer but based upon the layout of the corporate office and our retail stores, the ability to walk, stand and climb stairs is required.

Work Environment: Work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The work environment is based in a corporate environment. Noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.

Work Schedule: Full time role to equate to 40 hours per week. Occasionally, there may be business functions that will require your presence on additional nights and/or weekends.

The base compensation range targeted for this role is $24.00 - $26.00 per hour. This salary range represents B. Green & Co, Inc.'s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications exceeding the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply, and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the candidate selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
