Quality Engineer - CMM Programmer / 61148

We are hiring a Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer to join a high-performance aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring product quality through inspection, CMM programming, and process improvement. Ideal candidates have strong attention to detail, a background in aerospace manufacturing, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Program and operate CMMs for precision inspections
- Perform first article inspections and balloon drawings using DISCUS
- Inspect finished parts and assist with lab overflow
- Manage calibration systems and quality documentation
- Lead corrective/preventive actions (SCAR, RMA, CAR processes)
- Participate in ISO 9001:2015 / AS9100 audits and planning meetings
- Support continuous improvement and serve as backup to the Quality Manager
- Analyze inspection data and report on product acceptance
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Quality, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor's preferred)
- 1-2+ years of experience in quality engineering or inspection (aerospace preferred)
- CMM programming experience required
- Strong knowledge of metrology and blueprint interpretation
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and quality tools (5 Whys, Fishbone, etc.)
- QC-Calc and DISCUS experience a plus
Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Attention to detail and solid math/statistical skills
- Able to work in lab, office, and shop environments
- Must pass a visual acuity test; lift up to 40 lbs
