Job Overview
Candidate must have Serve Safe Certification.
We are seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to menu specifications while adhering to food safety guidelines. We are an Inpatient drug and alcohol rehabilitation center. Rotating days, with varying hours until 6pm in the evening. Some weekends. Schedule can be discussed at length during interview
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals following standardized recipes and special diet orders
- Ensure all meals are served at the correct temperature and portion size
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Assist with meal planning and inventory management
- Monitor food supplies and place orders as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a similar setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Familiarity with various cooking methods and techniques
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Certification from a culinary school or relevant field is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 - 32 per week
