Riverview School District is seeking candidates for Cook position for the 25-26 school year at Riverview High School.
The Cook is responsible for assisting in the preparation and service of quality food to students in a quick and pleasant manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Prepare food according to a planned menu and tested, uniform recipes, and determine if the finished product is of best quality both in flavor and appearance before it is served.
- Report inferior quality of food or faulty equipment to the appropriate authority.
- Record all food requisitions from the storeroom.
- Relieve cashier as required.
- Perform assigned duties scheduled by the supervisor.
- Inform supervisor or director of food services of any job-related or safety concerns.
- Maintain a neat and clean personal appearance.
- Communicate with the students in a friendly and courteous manner.
- Lift up to ten pound containers, and open cans with a manual can opener.
- Unload and lift up to 50 pound food service items with both hands to shoulder level.
- Plan the preparation of all baked items and some cooked items.
- Assist with the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions.
- Prepare and serves food, as directed by the supervisor and outlined on the provided menu.
- Clean equipment after each meal and stores unused food items in the proper manner.
- Keep food preparation and food storage areas in a clean, organized, and workable fashion at all times.
- Comply with all Riverview School Board of Education policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the head cook, director of food service and/or administration.
