Key Responsibilities: - Manage inventory efficiently
- Collaborate with the Culinary Services Director to place orders as required
- Prepare nutritious and appealing meals adhering to Maplewood's high standards
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of food service areas
- Engage proactively with staff, residents, and guests to enhance satisfaction
- Lead kitchen staff in maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment focused on teamwork
Education/Experience/Licensure/Certification: - Serve Safe Certification required
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in food preparation
- Familiarity with cooking times and temperatures in accordance with state guidelines
- Knowledge of meat cuts and seasoning
- Proven ability in a variety of food preparation techniques
- Experience catering to the dietary needs of seniors is preferred
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
