Overview We are looking for a professional line cook to prepare food to the exact chef's specifications and to set up stations for the menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the chef de cuisine and sous chefs with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our member satisfaction and overall Club goals.


Responsibilities

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Prepare food for service (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the culinary staff
  • Answer, report, and follow chef de cuisine or sous chef's instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and members
  • Maintain confidentiality of all members and Club information
  • Follows the grooming and uniform standards established for this role
  • Working as a team, effectively communicating with management and co-workers
  • Ensure that member and associates areas are maintained in a safe and secure environment
  • Always being positive, showing enthusiasm, being humble, being thankful, and being respectful to all team members
  • Perform all other duties as directed by immediate supervisors

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in similar roles preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments and multi-task
  • Ability to work any station once established
  • Full understanding of service flow and ability to lead line from a cook perspective
  • Basic understanding of meat and fish fabrication and cooking
  • Able to train a new cook on a station once established
  • Able to work quickly and adapt to meet the flow of demand
  • Able to stand for full shift
  • Able to work in a hot, fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of food preparation and basic to complex cooking methods across varied styles
  • Able to follow detailed recipes and verbal instructions with minimum supervision
  • Punctuality and regular attendance
  • Must be dependable and available to work within the club on weekends, nights and/or holidays based on business demands
  • Must have a positive attitude, be self-motivated, polite, and energetic
