Qualifications:
• One year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical facility preferred.
• Knowledgeable of dietary procedures.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must be able to communicate in written and spoken English
• Food Handler Permit
• Possess sound organizational and time management skills
• Work in a fast paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Responsibilities:
• Report to work as scheduled
• Prep all food items as directed in a sanitary manner following standard recipes and procedures within specified time.
• Comply with all federal, state and local governmental regulations
• Comply with departmental policy and procedures
• Suggest menu changes to assist dietician in menu creation
• Observe portion control and specialized diet procedures
• Has knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment
• Understands and complies with food safety and temperature regulations
• Perform other related duties as assigned
