ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: Operation PAR, Inc. is a non-profit organization offering the full continuum of services for individuals with substance use and/or mental health disorders. PAR has been providing comprehensive behavioral health treatment in west Florida since 1970 through advocacy, education, clinical services, and research.

JOB SUMMARY: Performs various tasks including maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchens and dining rooms. The cook prepares meals and makes specialty meals according to dietary specification for those residents that require it. Transports meals to other facilities as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
Must have the ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
Minimum of two years of cooking in a commercial kitchen.
- Knowledge of simple food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of first in, first out rotation method used in kitchens
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation methods
- Ability to put up stock and maintain dry and refrigerated storage areas
- Ability to use various types of food preparation equipment and wash, sterilize pots, pans, dishes and utensils
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass a level II background check and drug screen.
Must have a valid driver's license or state identification card.
