Bedford Center for Nursing and Rehabilitationis looking for a Cook to join the teamat our Skilled Nursing Facility in Brooklyn, NY.

Cook Responsibilities

• Prepare food inquantities according to the menu, recipe, and number of persons to be served

• Comply with state,federal, and all other applicable health care, safety, and sanitation standards

• Monitor and recordtemperatures in refrigerators and freezers

• Inspect specialdietary restrictions of residents to assure that the correct diet is served toresidents

• Process diet changesand new diets as received from Nursing Services

• Ensure that food andsupplies for meals are readily available

• Assist in inventoryingand storing in-coming food, supplies, etc. as necessary

Cook Requirements

• High school diploma orits equivalent

• Knowledge of dietaryprocedures

• COVID-19 Vaccination

Preferred

• At least one-yeardietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or anotherrelated medical facility
