Our client, in Faribault, MN, is looking for a Controls Technician, to join their team. This position promotes efficient operation of existing electrical and control systems. Supports daily production operations through troubleshooting and continuous improvement of operational software and control systems. Works closely with maintenance personnel and facility and corporate engineering to develop and implement improvement projects.

Direct-Hire

Pay - $25-$35/hr ($1/hr differential )

Shift: Mon-Fri 2pm-10:30pm must have availability to work OT on Saturdays (not every week)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Partner with Quality Assurance, executing and supporting all Quality programs that ensure the production of Safe, Quality Foods.

Responsible for analyzing and resolving electrical problems, troubleshooting and continuous improvement on analog/digital electronic control systems, PLC programming, HMI systems and computer network communications.

Assist in directing plant mechanics as needed to complete repairs.

Document and implements work order procedures for new equipment/technology and the complete documentation of all system modifications.

Responsible for installation and maintenance of Process Control Instruments, both pneumatic and electronic.

Repair, calibrate and clean all instruments, pressure switches, flow tubes and gauges to ensure minimal downtime and efficient utilization of pneumatic and electronic equipment.

Use and wear safety and protective equipment, as required

Attend training to develop and improve knowledge and skills

Adhere to proper cleaning methods, storage, and proper care of equipment and supplies

Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect employees, equipment, materials, and facilities

Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor

Track software versions for maintaining licenses, specifying contracts, ordering new equipment and obtaining service contracts.

Verify new components and software meet current company standards and are compatible with current architecture.
