Job Description:
- Seeking a Systems Engineer for utility-scale BESS plants. Employees in this role have
- the responsibility of developing requirements-related processes and creating control systems
- requirements and for utility-scale energy storage projects. The Control Systems engineer will be able to
- develop controls logic, implement complex programs, create protocols for site verification, testing,
- troubleshooting, and certifying all control system project requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Work with equipment suppliers to perform factory integration testing of new hardware designs to validate requirements
- Develop processes for managing common and project-specific control system requirements across a large fleet of power plants
- Oversee development and implementation of all control system project requirements
- Support commissioning team during plant turnover
- Work with cross functional teams and support as plant controls SME for both internal and external customers
Experience:
- A subject matter expert in the Power Generation industry, with established expertise in power
- plant controls and renewable energy
- Ability to manage deliverables from domestic and foreign suppliers
- Experience developing and verifying software requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting priorities
Skills:
- Engineer-In-Training or Professional Engineer
- Multilingual (Spanish, Mandarin, Korean)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Education:
- Master's Degree OR Engineering degree or technical degree in a related technical area
