Our client is seeking a Controls Hardware Designer to join their team. As a Controls Hardware Designer, you will be responsible for design of hardware and control panels from scratch. The ideal candidate will have ability to work independently & as part of cross-functional teams, able to work under minimal supervision and exhibit a high attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Controls Hardware Designer

Location: Wixom, MI

Pay Rate: Pay is between $40-45/hour w2 (Will be dependent on experience level)

Key Responsibilities
  • Create electrical drawing packages for different types of equipment/machinery both from scratch and using customer standards and templates. Experience designing control panel layouts is a must.
  • Understand and strictly follow the standards and specifications for the design of controls hardware of the end user
  • Provide accurate Bill of Materials as part of design, adhering to customer specification or documenting deviation acceptance from customer as required.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant controls hardware design experience
  • Strong experience designing control panel layouts with either AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan is a must. Preference is to have experience in both
  • PLC Programming experience is helpful but not required
