MAU is hiring a Controls Engineer for our client in Springfield, MO. As a Controls Engineer, you will lead plant-wide projects to enhance the control systems of manufacturing equipment. This is a direct-hire opportunity.

Shift Information:
- Monday-Friday 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Training: Minimum 60 days on day shift
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 2-3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in written and verbal English
- Competency in geometry, algebra, and trigonometry
- Strong problem-solving skills using root cause analysis and visualization tools
General Requirements:
- PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Function Block, Structured Text)
- Strong experience with Allen Bradley PLCs; GuardLogix experience preferred
- Proficiency in robotic systems, particularly Fanuc and vision-guided technologies
- Expertise in PanelView design and development
- Ability to read, interpret, and update technical drawings and schematics
- Understanding of industrial networking systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Essential Functions:
- Implement and modify HMI, PLC, and robotic logic
- Update and maintain electrical schematics and operational instructions
- Provide technical support to maintenance and operations teams
- Coordinate build, installation, and training for electrical control equipment
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement
- Conduct data analysis and use predictive models for decision making
- Perform maintenance to maximize system reliability
- Utilize vendors for technical support and component upgrades
- Implement safety systems compliant with industry standards (ISO, OSHA)
- Maintain records of changes and system maintenance
- Explore advancements in IoT, Industry 4.0, and smart manufacturing for automation and connectivity
