  • Primary responsibilities will include developing control strategies, programming PLCs, designing HMI interfaces, and ensuring the seamless integration of new systems with existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues to achieve resolutions.
  • Optimize Plant automation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Setup and maintain control parameters for GMAW and resistance welding (WTC, Bosch, Lincoln, Fronius).
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within tight deadlines.
  • This role is part of the Plant Engineering Team and reports to the Engineering Supervisor.

SUCCESS FACTORS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or equivalent automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as Controls Engineer within a manufacturing environment, automotive industry a plus.
  • Experience with HMI development and configuration; strongly preferred experience with FANUC robots.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with automation, robotics, and system integration; assembly welding a plus.
  • Experience with industry-specific software and hardware platforms.
  • Working knowledge of PLC hardware and Ladder Logic programming.
  • Prior involvement in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards and ensuring compliance in engineering practices.
  • Understanding electrical/controls circuitry and schematics.
  • Ability to work collaborative within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
