$250K - $350K Full-time View Full Job Share Job Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations, reporting, and cash management of an UHNW family office in Palo Alto. This role requires a detail-oriented financial leader with deep expertise in multi-entity accounting, internal controls, and compliance. The Controller will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, optimizing processes, and providing white-glove financial management in a discreet and high-touch environment. Responsibilities Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and financial reporting for multiple domestic and international entities. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards. Manage cash flow operations, including capital calls, distributions, intercompany transactions, and liquidity management. Develop financial dashboards to track cash positions, budget performance, and investment activities. Implement and enforce internal controls to safeguard assets, enhance reporting accuracy, and ensure compliance. Collaborate with external auditors, tax professionals, and investment advisors to manage tax filings, K-1s, and regulatory requirements. Lead financial process improvements, transitioning from outsourced to in-house accounting operations and optimizing financial systems and workflows. Provide strategic financial insights to family members and key stakeholders, ensuring seamless and proactive financial management. Hire, mentor, and manage a high-performing accounting team, fostering a culture of precision and excellence. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in accounting/finance, ideally within a family office, private wealth, or investment firm. Expertise in financial reporting, multi-entity accounting, cash management, and tax compliance. Proven leadership experience building and managing finance teams. Strong understanding of investment structures, trusts, and high-net-worth financial management. Advanced proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools. CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
