Description We are in search of a Controller to join our team situated in Worcester, Massachusetts. This role operates within the real estate industry, handling critical tasks such as managing AppFolio software and other real estate specific tasks. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: - Oversee financial activities relating to real estate transactions. - Utilize AppFolio software for managing real estate activities. - Develop and implement financial control procedures. - Monitor real estate market trends and financial forecasts. - Prepare financial reports for management review. - Coordinate with the team to ensure accurate financial records. - Resolve any financial discrepancies promptly. - Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. - Collaborate with other departments to streamline real estate operations. Requirements - Proven experience as a Controller or similar role. - Proficiency in using AppFolio property management software. - Solid understanding of financial and accounting principles, laws, and best practices. - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent leadership capabilities, with a proven ability to manage a team effectively. - Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial individuals clearly. - Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. - High level of integrity, with a commitment to adhere to financial regulations and company policies. - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required. - Ability to adapt to new software and technology quickly.
